SyMAT formulas are stored as string variables. It is recommended for clarity to use single quotes (' ') for formulas and double quotes (“ ”) for normal text.

Formulas are processed with a dedicated engine, and have different rules from the normal JavaScript and Python code. The best way to show the format is to give some examples.

sin[x^2] (x/3)*(cos[x]^2)

Functions use square brackets, and you don't have to use pow(x,y) to raise a number to a power.
